A year for the history books

At EMD, delivering excellent software products and customer service is at the heart of everything we do. Throughout this year, we have developed innovative solutions that accelerate the green transition. It’s been a year full of milestones, memories, and key events.

Farewell reception
In March, we hosted a farewell reception for Per Nielsen, the founder of EMD. The evening was filled with heartfelt speeches, a great atmosphere, and a memorable dinner. As a special gift, the staff commissioned author Henrik Winter to write VindORD, a book that beautifully captured our unique EMD history.

windPRO 4.1
In September, we launched windPRO 4.1, which was presented at WindEurope in Hamburg. The release was followed by a fully booked workshop at Windergy India, where the new features and capabilities were enthusiastically received.

energyPRO 5.0
The much anticipated energyPRO 5.0 has just been released, and we hosted a successful webinar to introduce the new interface and major updates.

We also organized a seminar at our headquarters with participants from the Danish district energy industry, which sparked exciting discussions about the future of energy.

Consultancy
Our consultants have been involved in several interesting project across the world.

EMD fun facts

• Our team has grown by nearly 30% since 2023
• That is an estimated 20,000 cups of coffee consumed in 2024 alone!
• We opened our own office in FIVE Odense and expanded our space at SOHO Copenhagen. In 2025, we will also be adding more space to our Aalborg office
• We celebrated two 25-year work anniversaries this year — Thomas Sørensen and Louise Larsen and one 20-year anniversary – Henning Mæng
