The EMD-WRF Europe+ mesoscale data set is a new data set offered to windPRO users on annual subscription terms at very attractive prices.
With a subscription you will have instant access to more than 2.5 million onshore and offshore time series ready for download and constantly updated within the domain shown to the right.
The mesoscale model is run at a high spatial resolution of 0.03°x0.03°, approximately 3×3 km with hourly temporal resolution. ERA5 data from ECMWF is the global boundary data set.
The data set covers Europe including the whole of Turkey and Ukraine but excluding the northern extreme of Scandinavia (see domain picture). The data set covers more than 20 years. Data are updated monthly with a delay defined by ERA5´s availability.
Data access is directly via windPRO’s user-friendly on-line data interface – More than 2.5 million time series are available for instant download, thus no delivery time.

To access the EMD-WRF Europe+ mesoscale data the following are required:
- windPRO BASIS module
- windPRO METEO or MCP module
- Subscription to EMD-WRF Europe+ mesoscale data set

Restrictions of Use
Subscribers may download up to 100 time series per calendar month, if needed. Refresh of already downloaded time series is not counted as a new download. EMD is monitoring use of the data set.
