At EMD, you will be part of a talented software team working on cutting-edge software for renewable energy applications—particularly in wind energy—through our industry-leading windPRO software. As a Senior Software Developer, you will help enhance and refine software products that are making an impact in the wind energy sector.
Your main tasks will include
- Developing desktop software as part of a cross-functional SCRUM team, primarily focused on windPRO.
- Implementing calculation methods and algorithms for internal as well as external use within the software.
- Contributing to the specification, facilitation, and realization of R&D projects.
- Continuously improving existing methods and services within the software.
- Ensuring quality assurance for methods and services within the software development process.
- Contributing to data development for renewable energy applications.
- Working on high-performance computing models and methods.
- Engaging in full-stack development to ensure the software meets high standards of performance and usability.
Your future team
You will report directly to Morten Lybech Thøgersen, Head of Software Development, and work closely with a skilled and supportive team dedicated to pushing the boundaries of renewable energy technology.
About you
- You have a strong background in software development and ideally possess experience in energy sector applications.
- You are familiar with concepts such as big data, high-performance computing, geospatial data, wind energy, solar energy, and energy systems modeling.
- Your technical expertise may include knowledge of numerical modeling, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), uncertainty modeling, and flow modeling.
- You hold an M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Science, or a related field (preferably software engineering, wind energy, renewable energy, physics, or atmospheric flow modeling).
- You are proficient in English (spoken and written), – a basic understanding of Danish is an advantage.
- You have strong problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a proactive and energetic approach.
