The Smart-Start heuristic in windPRO

Have you heard about the newest concept “Smart-Start”? This month, a research paper came out that describes the benefits of this smart method.

What might surprise you is that some time ago, we have already implemented that concept in our wind farm layout optimizer in #windPRO

The optimizer includes a super efficient implementation of the #SmartStart heuristics mentioned in the paper below.
